Who We Are

Since 2021, the MUTP has been involved in activating the South Sacramento Community's interest in the growth of our urban tree canopy. 

~To date, we have partnered with our neighbors, running programs that have resulted in 40 new trees planted on their properties.

~Our volunteers have helped with the planting of dozens of trees in our parks and school properties.

~We have appeared at various community events, promoting our programs, and educating the community about all things trees.

Along with our neighbors, who have helped us with their support with:

•  Planting trees on their properties

• Volunteering to help with plantings on other properties and public places, and

• Donations,

We would like to thank the government and corporate entities that have supported us:

• Sacramento County, who has helped us with generous funding

• The City of Sacramento, who has supported our neighborhood planting events,

• The Sacramento Tree Foundation, who has partnered with us for all of our projects that have placed trees on private property

• SMUD, who provides free tree samplings to our community, through the Sacramento Tree Foundation's Sacramento Shade program
